"Working Student"
I was raised on the island of Polillo, in the province of Quezon.
At the age of 12, I realized that I needed to take responsibility for not only myself but also for my family. I moved to Manila and decided to finish high school. While studying, I work for my sister, care for my niece, and do housework; when I'm in school, I sell assignments and projects. I decided to continue my education at ICCT Colleges after completing high school in 2015. However, due to financial difficulties and a lack of family support, I had to halt my studies and look for employment. I had been working as a service crew in the amusement industry for two years when I realized that I needed to finish my education to advance my career. I quit my position as a service crew and looked for a new job where I could pay for my studies. I work as a call center agent, and with the money I get from that, I've opted to continue my education here at ICCT Colleges. I was hoping to finish my study this coming December, but the pandemic happened so from that point, I decided to stop again and focus on my job. But because I have a dream, I decided to enroll again for the third time. Today, I am an incoming third-year student. I know this is just the beginning of my journey, but I'll follow through on my commitment to realizing my goals.
